Nutritional Therapist – Women’s Hormone Health
About Me
Hello! I’m Ciara, a qualified nutritional therapist with a special focus on hormone health, fertility and pregnancy preparation. I’m also a mother to one, so I understand firsthand how transformative, and demanding these stages of life can be.
My journey into nutritional therapy began in Canada in 2019, after years of struggling with my own digestive and hormonal health. I felt frustrated, exhausted, and unsure where to turn, having not found the support I needed through conventional approaches. Working with a naturopath was a turning point for me - it showed me how powerful personalised, root-cause nutrition can be and completely changed my relationship with my health.
That experience inspired me to retrain as a nutritional therapist, and I’m passionate about supporting women through some of the most important and sometimes challenging seasons of their lives.
How I Support You
At Lawless Nutrition, I support women through all stages of life, with a special focus on hormone health, fertility and pregnancy preparation. I provide evidence-based nutrition guidance tailored to each individual.
Every woman’s experience is unique, and the demands on the body can vary widely depending on your life stage, hormones, energy levels, and health history. My role is to listen, understand your story, and provide a personalised plan that fits into real life - especially during busy or overwhelming seasons.
Some of the ways I support women include:
Hormonal and Reproductive Health
Comprehensive support for hormone balance and reproductive health across all life stages. This includes guidance for PMS, irregular cycles, fertility preparation, pregnancy and postnatal recovery, as well as managing conditions such as PCOS, endometriosis, fibroids, hormonal imbalances, and thyroid disorders. Support may also extend to optimizing blood sugar regulation and overall endocrine health.
Digestive, Metabolic, and Skin Health
Support for digestive and metabolic function that can influence reproductive health, hormone balance, and overall wellbeing. This includes guidance for gut issues that may impact conditions such as PCOS, endometriosis, irregular cycles, or hormonal imbalances, as well as general digestive concerns like bloating, food sensitivities, or IBS. Optimizing gut health can also support nutrient absorption, blood sugar regulation, immune function, and skin health, including acne and eczema..
Optional Functional Testing
Where clinically appropriate, functional testing through Nordic Laboratories can be recommended to evaluate hormone levels, nutrient status, gut health, and metabolic markers. Testing is optional and is used to guide more personalized, evidence-based care.
My Approach
My approach is warm, practical, and collaborative. I don’t believe in quick fixes or perfection. Instead, I focus on realistic, sustainable changes that support your body gently, wherever you are in your journey.
Whether you’re preparing for pregnancy, navigating fertility or hormonal concerns, recovering after birth, or simply wanting to optimise your wellbeing, my aim is to help you feel supported, informed, and confident in the steps you’re taking towards better health.
